Botswana
Welcome to Botswana
Botswana is incredibly accessible country with flights via Johannesburg or other airports in Africa. A short, scenic connection lands you in Maun (the gateway to the Delta) or Kasane, or a short flight or drive from Victoria Falls - placing you in the heart of the bush by lunchtime.
Iconic Landscapes & Wildlife
Botswana is famous for its "low volume, high impact" tourism, ensuring an exclusive experience away from the crowds. Perfect for families or couples, the variety in styles of camps and accommodation are immense:
The Okavango Delta: A UNESCO World Heritage site where you can glide through reed-lined channels in a mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) or boat, for a silent, eye-level wildlife encounter.
Chobe National Park: Home to the world’s largest concentration of elephants, best viewed from a sunset river boat cruise.
Moremi Game Reserve: Where the Delta meets the plains, offering incredible predator sightings, including the rare African Wild Dog.
The Makgadikgadi Pans: Shimmering salt flats that host a massive zebra migration and offer a chance to walk with habituated meerkats.
Weather & When to Visit
Dry Season (May – October): The most popular time. The Delta floods are at their peak despite the lack of local rain, and wildlife congregates in massive numbers around the water.
Green Season (December – March): The desert blooms, birdlife is spectacular, and the landscape turns a vibrant emerald—perfect for photography.
