Cabin Fever When winter arrives in the Margaret River region, the crisp, rain-kissed air and roaring open fires set the stage for an unforgettable seasonal escape. Far from hibernating, the region bursts into life during the Cabin Fever Festival, a ten-day celebration that embraces the cooler months with bold flavours and vibrant energy. It is a time to pull on your favourite beanie and lean into unique winter experiences, from tracking the elusive "black gold" on crisp morning truffle hunts to indulging in intimate, fireside wine tastings at world-class cellar doors. Whether you are sampling rich, museum-release cabernets, watching the theatrical fury of a cheese toastie battle, or enjoying a slow banquet in a barrel hall, winter in Margaret River proves that when the weather turns wild, the South West simply pours out its best hospitality. And after the fun of the event, enjoy a specialised tour with Forage Safaris to round up your stay #downsouth
